Whilst our cookware has been manufactured with the highest quality materials, to guarantee longevity and performance there are a few instructions we recommend our consumers to follow.
Please note: below is for general guidance. Please refer to your use and care for full details on how to care for your cookware.
- Using low to medium heat can preserve the cookware's exterior and non-stick interior coatings as well as preserve the nutrients in food. High heat may damage the cookware's coating, voiding the warranty. Do not use non-stick cooking sprays, aerosol or low calorie sprays on non-stick cookware - an invisible build-up will impair the non-stick release system and food will stick in your pan.
- Use of cooking oil should be kept to a minimum, you can dab your favourite oil on a paper towel and carefully wipe the interior of the pan before cooking. Heavy vegetable oils may leave a residue that can affect non-stick performance. Use low heat when heating up oils, as they can quickly overheat and cause a fire.
- Non-stick staining occurs even with normal use, but is not considered a defect and is not covered under warranty.
Non-stick coatings will be damaged by the use of excessive heat and sharp utensils.
There is seldom a need to use high heat settings. Usually, once the required cooking temperature has been reached, the heat level can be turned down to between low and medium. Use of a medium heat will prolong the life and appearance of your non-stick cookware, and save energy.
It is important to thoroughly clean a non-stick coating with hot soapy water after use to prevent a build-up of minuscule food deposits, which eventually bake onto the surface, causing it to become less effective. Whilst wiping with a cloth or tissue will leave the surface looking clean it is not sufficient to remove all traces of food deposits.
Scorching will damage the non-stick coating and also reduce its effectiveness. A non-stick coating damaged by scorching will not release food as easily and will be less able to withstand the wear and tear of normal use.
If you use anything sharp or abrasive on a non-stick coating you will damage it. Once a pan is damaged you may find gradual erosion of the non-stick coating from the area surrounding the damage and it will reduce the life of the pan considerably.
